FAQs

Google Ads

  • How much budget do I need to spend?

There is no simple or one-size-fits all answer to the question of how much Google Ads will cost your business. This is because it can vary so much depending on what industry your business is in, your quality score, your cost per click and your ad scheduling. This all needs to be taken into consideration when creating a Google Ads campaign because the businesses with the most amount of money don’t always win the bid. Google can take all of this into consideration and offer the bid to a smaller campaign spend if their quality score is better which is based on a combination of ad relevance, landing page relevance, auction-time quality, the device, location, context of users' searches, alternative bidding methods and alternative ad formats.

  • What if my competitors click on my ads?

Google is said to have the best click fraud detection software built into the Google Ads platform and will void or refund any detected click abuse of competitors or anyone for that matter.

  • What types of Google Ads are there?

There are three basic types of Google Ads: Search Network Campaigns, Display Network Campaigns or Video Campaigns. Search network campaigns show on Google Search results pages, usually in text form when someone searches for a service or product similar to yours. A Display Network Campaign appears on apps or websites that your customers visit and they usually appear in image form. Video Campaigns show right before or during YouTube content usually 6 or 15 seconds long.

This will help manage your budget for future campaigns and give you a clear indication on what your spend needs to be to gain the results you want. Sometimes you can spend as little as $1 a day and achieve the goals you want. With other campaigns you will need to extend your budget to $20 per day or more to receive those same results.
